KuruWUG is Up `n Running.

What is a WUG you may ask. A WUG stands for Wireless User Group.  All equipment is standard wifi equipment, operating under 802.11 standards which makes it affordable to anyone.

Basicly a WUG is a wireless network that are free to join.  Please note that the aim of a WUG is not to supply internet access.  All users contribute to the contents and services of the WUG.

Currently there is a fileserver running hosting all types of files.  A Teamspeak server (VOIP) is also already setup and any LAN Chat programs can also be used.

We are planning to setup a Call of Duty 4 and Counter Strike Server.  The possibilities are endless.  We are open to all suggestions.

The access point is situated in Thompson Road with SSID "PlotWUG".  If you can see it, contact Willie Ras @ This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for info on how to connect.

If we get more interest from people not able to pick up the access point we will try to setup an Access Point somewhere more accessable.  With some additional hardware, all people connected can extend the wug by creating an additional access point at their location (Mesh Networking).
